We are excited to know you are interested in learning, participating, and getting more involved with Frick Kings and Queens After School Program. As an extension of the Frick family, we strive to provide a high quality program to our students and families. Our top priorities are students’ academic achievements, healthy well-being, and safety. We encourage students to stay on task, take advantage of the resources available, and strive to be productive citizens in the community.
This year, there are 5 Academic Mentors dedicated to working with students to improve their academic performances, expose them to new subjects/ideas, and serve as a positive role model. Our Academic Mentors support students Monday through Thursday and some of our mentors are also Enrichment Activity Providers. We work closely with our Academic Liaison to create and implement curriculum lesson plans that best meet the need of the students and align with Frick, the school district, and state requirements.
We offer a wide variety of enrichment activities in recreational, visual, and performing arts. This year, we are excited to continue providing enrichment activities that are in high demand: Cheerleading, Boys & Girls Sports and Fitness, Soccer, and Bike Club. We also offer Music and Video Production, Urban Art, Leadership Team, and Dance. We are very excited to introduce Martial Arts this spring semester. We continue to improve our program based on the feedback and suggestions from our students, staff, and evaluators.
We look forward to meeting parents, continue building strong relationship with students and families, and improving our programming. If you are interested in our program, please do not hesitate to contact me at 510-729-7736 extension 254. You are welcome to visit us too!
