ArtEsteem

Frick is one of many Oakland Unified schools that is participating in the ALAS (Arts Learning Anchor School) program funded by Measure G. This grant allows our teachers an opportunity to engage in professional development and facilitate visual arts integrated curriculum in their core content areas, during the regular school day.

The teachers work with a visual artist from the ArtEsteem Program out of the Attitudinal Healing Connection, Inc. ArtEsteem uses a side by side professional development model that simultaneously develops teachers and students.
