Frick Middle School's Peer Mediation Program operates using the restorative justice framework. Restorative justice is a theory of justice that focuses repairing the harm caused negative behavior. Through one or more mediation meetings the steps to identify harm are figured out with all the stakeholders present. We used our Peer Mediation Program to address student-to-student conflicts, conflicts between students and adults, as a alternative to suspension option, and as a restorative way to welcome back students who have been suspended.
