  • Feb 7: Memorial Service for Mr. Young

    You are invited by the family of William Young to celebrate the life of our teacher, colleague and friend. All are welcome. The service will begin at noon with a reception to follow. St. Luke's Episcopal Church is located at 1755 Clay Street (at Van Ness) in San Francisco.

  • Free Selma Movie Tickets for Middle Schoolers!

    Middle school students can show their student ID or report card at the box office of any participating theater to receive their free tickets. As of Wednesday Jan.21, Grand Lake Theater had 1000 free tickets left available! For more info, click on icon to the left.

  • Oakland A’s Step Up to the Plate for Education!

    Montera is excited to participate in the Oakland A’s Step Up to the Plate for Education program for the 2015 season! Students, parents, friends and families will have the opportunity to purchase special fundraising tickets for select A’s games and portion of each ticket will go directly back to our school. The link to purchase these tickets through this special fundraising program will go live in March. To purchase tickets and view the available games, please click on the icon to the left.

Montera Middle School is located on 19 wooded acres in the Montclair area of Oakland. Our diverse student population have come from 58 schools in and outside of Oakland, including private, public and charter. Montera’s school faculty is diverse as well, combining both new and veteran teachers. Montera prides itself on educating the whole child both academically and socially. We are committed to maintain high academic standards while working with students at all academic levels.We are dedicated to ensuring that all students have equal access to a broad-based curriculum in an environment that fosters dignity and respect for all.  There are many things to take pride in at Montera but we are most proud of the level of commitment and involvement on the part of our parents.  The support they give to our electives program, interventions and extra curricular activities makes the school an environment where our kids can continue to grow.
